Giulia Galluccio, Director, Advanced Training and Education Center at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC); Vice Chair of JPI Climate and Coordinator of MAGICA, is proud to see a promising first programme now published. She said:
“We received a huge number of excellent proposals focusing on solutions and involving a variety of key players in climate adaptation in Europe and beyond, and I look forward to seeing inspiring exchanges in Rimini this June”.
Petra Manderscheid, Executive Director of the Central Secretariat JPI Climate Petra Manderscheid, co-organisers of ECCA2025, said:
“The programme is an inspiring blend of both mainstream and more unusual topics — from aviation and mental health to climate anxiety, heritage and climate resilience. We’re also proud to continue our collaboration with the European Space Agency, highlighting the important role of Earth Observation in climate adaptation”.
The programme features a strong balance of 22 policy- and solution-focused sessions alongside 13 scientific sessions, reflecting ECCA’s mission to bridge research with real-world action.
Thanks to the versatility of the Palacongressi di Rimini conference centre, one room will be dedicated to holding world cafés and another, large room, will be able to have online participation as well as a live audience.
We’re also delighted to welcome back to ECCA professional broadcaster Karen Coleman as our host and moderator, bringing her extensive knowledge to the main stage and her skill in cutting straight to core of complex climate issues from the perspective of our audiences.
There are still opportunities to get involved with ECCA2025 as a partner, please contact secretariat@ecca2025.eu.
