The goal of the Prize is to identify the most transformative solutions across all sectors—from grassroots initiatives to large-scale businesses—that are making real progress towards achieving five critical Earthshots.
These Earthshots focus on protecting and restoring nature, cleaning our air, reviving our oceans, building a waste-free world, and fixing our climate. Together, they aim to improve life for everyone and create a sustainable future for generations to come.

About the Earthshot Prize Launched by Prince William and initially developed within The Royal Foundation in 2020, The Earthshot Prize is a prominent global environmental initiative that identifies and scales transformative solutions to repair the planet. Inspired by President Kennedy’s Moonshot challenge, The Earthshot Prize embraces ambitious, targeted goals to combat climate change and environmental degradation.
